These boots are fantastic. They've seen 30 to 40 miles of trail use so far so the things I can speak to are the obvious Scarpa quality and comfort. I have never had a blister or so much as a hot spot with them and they keep getting better the more they are used. I have no doubt they will last a long time, I've owned Scarpa boots before and at least for my low volume, low arch feet they are super supportive and not to mention bomb proof. They are a heavier boot, but everything is a trade-off right. I grew up wearing steel toe Redwings so the weight doesn't bother me. Fits true to size to size and there is plenty of toe room. So far they are the best fitting boots I've owned. It's hard to beat Scarpa.

50yrs of making boots shows in this product. I own a pair of Swiss made Raichle boots that I wore for 10 years. I looked for something same but they sold to Mammut. Mammut is great but they don't make a full leather/gore-Tex boot. This boot is Italian made full leather with a silicone tanning process that makes them very durable. Note that they are not for the light hiker. This is a boot you could wear to trek the Pacific Crest Trail and be comfortable. I expect this product to last another 10 years of hiking. They are designed mountaineering treks but are very comfortable to do a day hike.

These boots are really sturdy and heavy. They take a while to break in, and are a bit stiff at first. But overall, they seem to be very high quality.
