Best pair of combat boots I've ever worn. Super comfortable, like wearing your favorite pair of running shoes, lightweight yet durable. I ran warrior runs in these and felt amazing afterwards.
Soft suede toes, arches & heels wear nicely but can stain easily (oils). Water will leave marks, but brush it out. Canvas ankles/sides are durable. May have to go up 1/2 to 1 size. I normally wear 13 and found it to be a little snug with bulky boot socks.
I've had them over a year now, the majority of that being in the sandbox, wearing them daily and they're ready to be put out to pasture. BUT I beat the crap out of these boots and they still offer a lot of cushioned support. Ordering my replacement pair today!

Great pair of combat boots. Comfortable, lightweight and durable. Far superior to the standard military issue in all respects. If you're in the sandbox (I'm in Kabul) these boots will serve you well and are made to last. Well worth the personal investment!

These boots hold up very well, and are extremely comfortable.
I initially made the mistake of not wearing socks that were thick (I wore medium socks) so on a 22 mile march I had big blisters, but once I got thicker socks I was fine.
They have superb grip on pretty much any terrain, with the exception being very wet rocks, but then again, most shoes/boots dont have a grip on very wet rocks.
As for water performance, as long as the water doesnt get to the top of the boot you are fine, the water wont get in. Only afterwards you have a problem because the water takes a while to dry out of the boot. Took 2 hours for it to try in hot weather after I accidentally dunked my feet into water. Made the rest of the march very uncomfortable. And water stains the boot as well, but I havent tried cleaning it yet.
So yes, get this boot, its really a great buy.
