Product Description
If all you needed for the job was something to protect your feet, you'd throw on a pair of sneakers and call it a day. But when you need quality safety features, warmth, comfort, and proven construction for durability, you need the Wolverine 2601 Men's Insulated 6 Inch Brown EH Boots. After all, you're going to work - not for a walk in the park. The reddish-brown leather is flexible, durable full grain that's easy to clean and shine. Waterproof, the leather will also hold out moisture to keep you working in comfort. Stylish black soles and matching ankle accents complete the handsome look. Warm Thinsulate on the inside keeps you comfortable even on the worst days. Lightweight (400 gram), this material captures and holds your own natural body heat, keeping feet warm even in below-freezing climates. Compression-molded midsoles softly cradle your feet, while non-metal nylon shanks create fatigue-fighting support. The full-cushion insoles are removable for easy cleaning, but they feel so soft you'll never want to go without them. Sturdy cement construction joins the boots to the slip-resistant soles, which help you maintain good grip and traction. An oil-resistant finish helps prevent chemical wear and corrosion. To keep you safe on the job, ASTM F2413-05 M I/75 C/75-rated steel toes protect your feet against dangerous objects. EH (electrical hazard) certification guards you against dangerous open circuits. Got a job to do? Get it done in safe style with Wolverine 2601 Men's Insulated 6 Inch Brown EH Boots, and stay comfortable even at work. Manufactured Sizes: M 7-12, 13, 14 | EW 7-12, 13

By Jerry H. Bond
Exceptional luxury in a safety-toe work boot. I was both surprised and elated. The Wolverine Guardian is also slip resistant, waterproof, electrical hazard certified, light weight and ultra comfortable with Thinsulate insulation. One of the best features I've discovered is the top two speed-lace eyelets. They allow the wearer to quickly remove and don the boots with ease. This is a great time and back saver when doing a job that requires frequent exit and entrance to a home that doesn't appreciate dirty boots. Other boots I've worn require loosening the laces at least 3 or 4 eyelets down from the top. That's a pain. Unfortunately, it took a crushed toe (see image) to convince me of the need for a pair of quality safety boots. My old boots were in great shape and so comfortable that I never considered a new pair, not until I dropped a heavy sheet of pressure-treated plywood off of a high shelf at a big-box, home improvement store onto my foot. That's when it suddenly occurred to me that my big toe is actually worth $113.00. If I'd lost it, no telling what I would have been willing to pay to get it back. It is still not totally healed, but I can walk around in these boots with no pain whatsoever. They wear like fine hiking boots which I've always preferred. The six-inch boots work great for me. And I did do a good bit of research before buying these boots. I owned a pair of steel-toe boots 30 years ago. They were very uncomfortable, wore blisters and nearly froze my toes off in the Winter months. That's why I refused to buy another pair before now. The events of life have a unique way of illuminating shadowed minds.

Toughweld.com has these boots for $108.00 and FREE SHIPPING. That's a bargain.

By J. Ediger
I bought mine three years ago. I wore the same pair of these boots, in 8" uppers, for two years working as a milling machine operator. The work was outside and temperatures ranged from tripple to single digits at times.
These boots kept me dry, safe and warm. The carbon toe is about a bazillion times warmer than steel toe in the winter and made working outside comfortable. The light insulation kept me warm enough as I bought them big enough for an extra pair of socks. They run a tad small so I got a half size larger than I normally go.
For a work boot, without stepping up to a logger-style boot (Whites) they exceed my expectations. The sharp, hot metal chips from the milling machine did almost no damage to the soles whatsoever. The lining pulled loose from the heel after about one year and, though a bother when removing the boots (I have to loosen them more is all) it never made me uncomfortable. I have never had a pair of work boots last over a year for less than two hundred bucks so I was happy.
Since the company I work for now bought me another pair of boots this year (another pair of Carbonmax)I retired my old pair to use as hunting boots and have gotten an additional year of hard use from them hunting. That's three years from these boots and they are still my hunting boots today. The sole is finally starting to part from the uppers as the glue is getting old. I would not buy these just for hunting though because the tread pattern is for work and not agressive enough for the field in my opinion.
One thing I do for ALL my work boots is put a layer of Shoe Goo over the toe cap right after I buy them so I have never had the toe wear through.
They are not magic boots; they will NOT work for people who work in the woods (I fought fire for five summers, trust me) but for general work boots in industrial settings they can't be beaten until you spend an additional one or two benjamins.
